Nice! Bummer it's so cold there, it's been 40-mid 60s for the past 2 weeks here!

Just scheduled my only track day at the Glen this year. They are paving the track starting in June. Pretty excited! April 27th with NASA.

New vanity plate.
Also thinking about manning up and ditching the Hotchkis springs and XXR wheels for some RCE tarmac II coil overs and 17x9 +35 RPF1s. I love the look of the XXRs but I think its time to start adding some more track related parts.

Flushed the trans and diff fluid to Motul gear 300 75w90 fluids and pulled the trigger on the FT86 Speedfactory front splitter and race upgrade. Almost time to take her out of storage!
23,000 miles Fresh start

Magnetic numbers for the track. Looks a lot more professional than painters tape. Ignore the mess of a garage. My dad is a pack rat. lol

What's your opinion on the wheels? Worth it? Did it make the car slower/ gain weight?

I didn't really notice a weight difference but I did notice a huge improvement in grip over the stock set up thanks to the tire I am running. On the street the weight really wasn't noticeable. But my goal is more of a track car and I regret buying them for that reason. Other than that I haven't had any problems with them. They fit and look great. However, because of my track day car goals they are for sale on craigslist at this very moment. Lol. I would put them for sale on this forum but would be local sale only.

Nice build, we have some similarities between builds (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85018). I've built mine for touge and light track duty, but sadly have no tracks to play on. It's quite fun to go out on a cruise and hit some twisties and hang with "faster cars" and not break a sweat. Keep up the good work and I hope warmer weather comes your way soon!

For the race upgrade, if you actually align the brackets on the crash beam per the instructions, you don't need to cut your grille at all to fit the race upgrade. I held mine up and marked the holes, but didn't have the bottom of the bracket flush with the bottom of the crash beam so my holes were a little lower than the instructions. Being in NY you may have to be careful in the winter, it can handle plowing snow but I wouldn't risk it with hard packed snow or ice.
Yea it's kinda bizarre. I'm very happy with my Hotchkis springs as well. I did the math to corrent the motion ratio for the rear and chose Hotchkis because the difference front to rear was similar to the BRZ (which stock, magazines said handled better with less oversteer than the FRS pre '15). I was looking through builds after I posted mine and thought yours was eeriely similar lol. Glad to see there are like minded people in the world, well at least car wise (so many drift and "crazy stance"/camber guys anymore). As for the wheels, I ran around on stockers for 2.5 years, so I'm glad to finally have wheels lol. I really like the Enkei Kojin's too, but couldn't pass up the lighter RPF01's. I haven't had the chance to push the car too hard yet but it is definitely a night and day difference versus the Primacy HP's.
