actually it goes back further than that. the '48 Tucker had a steerable headlight, although it was a third light not the primary pair.

I had one. Convertible like above but lowered with a body kit, 14 inch wheels (that looked huge), Blacked out lights and a pearl dark green paint job. Engine had header, intake, injectors and did a little over 100HP. Still got 35 MPG! It was a total blast to drive as it would go like hell and since they only weighed something like 1700 pounds you could toss it around even with the FWD. People that didn't know what it was always thought it was some expensive exotic.

Sort of looked like this only a little lower and matching wheels, and in dark green

I had a good friend that had a red hard top he drove for about 7 years. He is somewhere around 6'6" tall, with very broad shoulders (basically has a swimmer build). It was quite funny to watch him pour himself out of it.

Does it have a balance shaft ? Does it have an unlimited miles/years warranty ?

I4s, I5s, and V6s need balance shafts too. This is a shit take. 3cylinders have been around for ages and are no less reliable than any other piston configuration.

The Koenigsegg Gemera has a 600hp 3 cylinder. It will shit on any V8 bro car on the street.

I prefer more cylinders.
The less cylinders you have, the more lawnmower it sounds

Not a fan of triples in anything but mororbikes, although I would make an exception for one of these:

Mid engined baby NSX! Wish they had the courage to put a 1L turbo in it and release it worldwide as the new S1000.

Yeah, but if that lawnmower does 0-60 like a supercar who cares?

I do. A sports car is about the entire experience, which includes the sound. A top end EV can outsprint an ICE supercar now, but without the pleasing engine and exhaust sound, it's not the same sporty experience. Impressive? Yes. But as fun? Not really.

There is a reason the older NA H6 Caymans are more popular than the newer turbo H4 718s, even though the turbo 4 is objectively more powerful and has quicker acceleration. The sound of the old high revving H6 is a big part of the experience of that car. It's not all about speed.

Lol. Not the best car to make your argument with.
I'm not sure anyone would really say an H6 is a desirable engine note.

I would. M96/7 motors sound sick at full tilt.

I don't disagree, but there's something funny about the idea of a lawnmower specifically achieving that acceleration.

I'll take a V12 or even a V10 with a proper exhaust over all.
Also, that sounds like shit.
