If you go with a clicker, no matter what brand, have it calibrated. Ask one of the local tire shops where they take theirs. https://tescomcalibration.com/austin-lab/

It's not expensive. You'll feel good every time you see the calibration sticker.

Un less you are doing some thing like a race engine, most torque wrenches will give a good approximation. Better than just pulling the wrench till tight.

Mine are these. Haven't killed a lugnut or had a wheel fall off yet, which is my primary use for a torque wrench.

I kind of disagree. I wrench a lot and I find the cheaper wrenches don’t hold their calibration on the upper and lower ends after about a year. I find it is better to spend some extra money that I would have used to buy beer anyway on one from a tool company that can be repaired and calibrated as needed. Even new sometimes the cheaper ones are off. I had to helicoil a cam cap bolt earlier for a friend using a craftsman inch-lb wrench he just bought to do an engine rebuild.

Another "a what" thing, do torque wrenches require recalibration? I'm sure our QA/QC expert @Tcoat can help here...
