Ah, didn't see them add any. It was kinda loading on my phone and not at all on the computer for some reason yesterday. But yeah I can see your point.

Hwy 128 heading to Mendocino is pretty damn good too, as long as you are on the more western part after thw county line. Before that it is total garbage.Theres also decent stuff in the foothills (HWY 49) but just way too many cops and ofen times traffic.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd bump this up and try again -- Is anyone interested in doing the Gizdich Ranch Pie Run soon, like maybe this Sunday?

how do you guys feel about this meeting point and route:

Start from
5343 Almaden Expy
San Jose, CA 95118

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/37.2...2d36.94739!3e0

To be honest I am not that familiar with the route so if anyone has better suggestions I am open. Also, in terms of timing, maybe we can meet up for lunch, then do the drive, with apple pie waiting for us at the Gizdich Ranch? Or would you guys prefer the early morning start.

Lunch sounds like a good idea... That way I can wake up later

Starting from "5343" is fine with me.
I'm a fan of early starts but I'm flexible and would be OK with a later start.

OK I am going to go with the later start, since getting down to the South Bay will take a little extra time for both me and @Pwolf.

Let's plan to meet at the Almaden Plaza shopping center at about 11AM, for those who want to eat lunch we will convene near the Chevy's and Red Lobster. Not because I want to eat there necessarily, but it looks to me like there is the best chance of parking together there. There is a Five Guys and Wingstop on the other side of the plaza that we can probably walk to if that's what people prefer. Those who want to eat elsewhere and just join us for the drive, meet back at the Chevy's area around 12:45PM and we will plan to roll out towards Gizdich Ranch at about 1 PM.

The drive will take roughly 45 min to 1 hour, then we will stop at Gizdich Ranch and enjoy some delicious pies. After that we will officially disband but perhaps we can take 152 back to 101 or explore further twisty backroads if people want.

Sunday, NOV 9, 2014
Start (1PM):
Almaden Plaza Shopping Center
5343 Almaden Expy, San Jose, CA 95118

Destination (2PM):
Gizdich Ranch, 55 Peckham Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076

bring radios if you have them! we typically use FRS channel 6.
