High Boost Pulley or Not?

Currently having a new motor built for the FRS and I'm not sure whether I should put the standard pulley back on. The build includes a fresh block, forged internals, 11.5:1 CR along with the heads getting P&P and aftermarket valve train components. The goal is to reliably raise the redline to 8K although I really won't actually be shifting that high very often. The car is now going to be primarily TT and HPDE driven with occasional street use in between. My concern with the high boost pulley is the 7500 rpm ceiling that it places on the supercharger.

I suppose if it does wear out prematurely I could always replace it with a C38?

You'll be hitting over 100% capacity on the blower before 8,000 RPM. Now would that realistically be a problem if you rarely ever get that high (and when you do it would only be for a split second)? Probably not. But I doubt Jackson Racing will warranty it. IIRC it maxes at 100% @ 7700 RPM. CSG could chime in on that.

I would definitely keep the high boost pulley though as you may as well take advantage of the extra power now that you have the built block.

Why are you lowering the compression? You will see more of a benefit if you leave it.

If you use the high boost pulley, drop your redline appropriately. If you like having the 8k redline, don't use the high boost pulley.

I have had an 8K limiter in third and fourth gear since I had the na E85 tune. Just to be able to hold a specific gear in certain turns. Haven't tracked the car with a supercharger yet and I assume gear selection is going to be reevaluated anyway with the new power curve. Probably going to leave the high boost pulley on and just have the limiter set to 7500.
