"Do you track your vehicle?"

Are you obliged to answer this question truthfully if the dealership asks re: a warranty claim?

No.

Why give them a reason to jerk you around. Unless you have a good report with them and they don't care.

Not answering truthfully is fraud and is a criminal offense in most jurisdictions.
The warranty language is very clear that race and track use damage are not covered no matter how much they advertise the car as a track vehicle.
That said if it is warranty work it is going to depend on what broke and how. Money shift and blow your engine, burn up your clutch and brakes through heavy use or slide it into the grass and bust up some wheel bearings and that should be on you and at your own risk and expense. Fuel pump goes or something fails that wasn't related to track use then that is on them.
Warranty work is intended to repair issues with the manufacture and materials of the car not as a track maintenance program. Contrary to popular belief warranty work is not free. Every person buying a new car is paying for that work even if indirectly. I do not want to pay more for cars because people think they are entitled to having their screw ups and abuse of the car beyond the design specs paid for for them.

Oh, and I know that all the great DIY mechanics here will disagree but the techs at the dealerships are not stupid. They will know if something is broken by pushing it too hard.

No it is not insurance. You break it you fix it.

After one track season, the 1st year I owned the car, I had a front wheel bearing making some noise. Took it to local dealership, they replaced both front wheel bearings under warranty. Car was 1.25" lower than stock and on 17x9 wheels with 245/40-17 RE71Rs with track wear. They didn't bat an eye.

IOW don't be shy about seeking warranty work even for wear or other issues from tracking the car. If they do ask if you "track" the car, up to you if you want to share that or not IMO...

Dealership experiences will vary.

Like mentioned, experiences with dealerships will vary. I have never gotten a warranty claim denied even with cars that I clearly track. I've even gotten fender rust replaced by warranty on clearly rolled fenders on my MK5 GTI with Ohlins, tons of camber, wide 200TW tires etc.

If you're car isn't a clapped out POS and you are straight forward and respectful it puts you in a better position to get warranty work done on a modified vehicle IMHO.

In my personal experience (nothing to do with a track use warranty claim, or even cars for that matter), in all but the most trivial of cases the truth will inevitably come out, and if you lie it will only make your situation worse.

I am the only driver so I have no need to track my vehicle as I am always sitting in it when it is moving. So based on that I could legally and morally answer that question "No."

That thing where techs rummage through your car and bust it up because the warranty hours pay like shit. Oh and sometimes they replace something.
