Imo, the Corsa is one of the quietest setups when cruising. Never experienced the drone mentioned, but the exhaust is definitely more audible under load, and loud when you stomp on it (it is an exhaust after all

).

Of course all cold starts are going to be loud with any aftermarket exhaust. If the rest of the exhaust is factory, you already have the quietest starting point. I don't think you'll be satisfied with any other exhaust option outside of the Invidia Q300 or TRDs. Flatulence is not something I associate with the Corsa... but does happen often with other 86/BRZ aftermarket exhausts.

My exhaust setup was just the catback and I absolutely loved how it screamed in the higher rpms when I had it.

Sorry for the late reply, have been on vacation.

I put the system back on to see if maybe I overreacted, or left something loose....

Everything stock, Corsa cat-back

Mind you Im accelerating moderately, not winding it all the way out or anything.

In my opinion this sounds like absolute garbage and I'm embarrassed to drive with this on my car.

Did you buy it new?

Either something is wrong with the muffler or you have a catless EL header. Doesn't sound like it should.

The muffler has specific tuning to bounce frequencies around to get a desired tone. If it was tampered with/damaged that could change the sound.

Yeah your Corsa sounds off.

Luckily Corsa support is awesome -- they sent me a brand new muffler section.
