What regulations? Think development money and return on investment are the only hurdles here. 4C, Cayman/Boxster, C8, used MR2s...what more choices you need. If toyota needed a partner to get a simple FR car at $30 k, they ain't gonna make a more compelling package than a 4C or C8. Hyundai might be your savior since their supposed MR car has been talked about for years but I have real hard time believing the price will be competitive with the Supra, let alone the twins..

That's not what I meant bro, I meant something just out of the ordinary for the fun of it, something weird like the Honda s660 typa vibes (it won't ever leave Japan). My point was that regulations make it very hard an not worth to go off the usual style, the very specific things like bumper heights, light positioning, front and rear end styling limitations etc

As in something that would be compelling to export out of Japan just for the sake of it and be legal, I have my doubts the s660 would be legal in many parts of the world, but I wouldn't know

but none those regulations are holding companies back from developing MRs in the US Kei cars in Japan can exist because people in Japan aren't embarrassed by driving small cars so that segment can make a little more money and the Japanese network of selling cars is a bit easier for them to offer unique JDM only cars than to other markets...people here complain the Miata is way too small. Not sure why you think that the S660, which is made by a 1st tier mass production automaker, couldn't be legal elsewhere...Toyota was able to sell their bB as the xB in the US but after a couple years people stopped caring.. Plus technically in 25 years the S660 will be here in the states, maybe Qatar has a shorter rule.

Huh, not seeing any Crossfire in that. More modern 240Z or junior Ferrari 812. But I'm not the best photoshopper anyway, could use some massaging...

That looks very nice.

I'd probably extend the nose just a fraction to make sure the engine sat fully behind the front axle though.
