I always wanted to be taller, I wanted to be a baller, and a shot caller! But I'm a shorty, that just turned 40, and I got no job-y. So, I'm going to be thankful for what I got, it's not a lot, but I did buy my FR-S straight off the lot!

It's a limerick?!

Youtube got me. Saw a video on these 'garage' lights and bought them 2 days ago on amazon... Holy-Cow! They are amazing. Just bought 4 more for the basement which will be here tomorrow.

My buddy bought new Mac Air, but his work gave him one, so I bought off from him for tad bit cheaper. I needed to upgrade my Mac Air ('12 model), so it was a win-win for both of us.

i've installed a few of those for a customer. wasn't extremely impressed. they're sort of abysmal compared to these:
https://www.menards.com/main/electri...6387640&ipos=3

they're very directional, and i believe the lumen count is over-stated...

I miss my old car and the incredible feeling I got every time I drove it. I had it set up so perfectly for my taste and it felt and sounded amazing every time I got behind the wheel. I'm so disgusted that I'll never get to drive it again.

Since we're talking about buying things...we upgraded our primary tv for Christmas this year. Wasn't really planning on it but got a sweet deal on a LG OLED 77" TV by being at the right place at the right time. It was an unadvertised sale at MicroCenter, and was half of list, plus $1,000 less than either Amazon or Best Buy.

It replaced our 10 year old Vizio 70" LCD HD that has now been moved to the basement "game/workout room".

Amazing picture quality particularly streaming 4K.

I'm still happy with the purchase and even more so when I got 2 light fixtures for quite a bit less than the cost of 1 of the Menards bulbs. I'll have to look for those next time I'm there as them still might be handy as for the wash room as they are a bit less space-invader looking.

Also @Tcoat whenever he returns, I bought a Flanker and my first Russian-made plane and kit!

Don't I know it. I built a theater room with the latest 48" rear projection TV and surround sound back in the day. Then, one video store in our area started to rent movies on laser discs. I bought a player and started to collect movies. I read all the audio/video mags of the time and they all were saying that the next gen discs and players wouldn't be out for 5-10 years. I bought the latest laser disc player with auto flip so I didn't have to turn them from side 1 to side 2 manually. You guessed it. Within a year of getting the newest laser player everyone was selling DVD players and DVD movies were a fraction of the cost of the laser discs they replaced. Now we have blue ray and a 120 hz LED flat panel. Never had a 3D player or TV. I figured 4K would be superseded before I could afford one.
Life was so much simpler when everything was black and white.

I did both LaserDisc and Beta, talk about backing the wrong horses.

I have no interest in 8K, unless I decide to set up a full size movie theatre. Never was willing to pay for 3d in the theatre so definitely skipped that although my Sony 4K blu-ray player does offer 3d.

No new "main" TV for me now for at least 8 years or until this one stops working, whichever comes first.

I hear that. Something about TV screen size just dawned on me last night. It's not so much the size of the TV screen as it is how close you're sitting to it.

We have this 40 some inch Dynex thing that works just fine. I had considered replacing it with one with a larger screen, till last night.

We had a granddaughters sleep over last night and I wanted to stay up and watch the news (YES, drill sergeant, MORE pain - ), but didn't want to disturb ma-ma who had taken the 4 ager to bed.

So, I sat in ma-ma's broken down easy chair that is about 5 feet away from the TV, so I could keep the sound low and still hear it.

WOW! BIG screen TV all of a sudden -

I saved us a ton of money - till ma-ma wants her chair back -
