What does this switch do???

Hello everybody, I just both a 2014 Scion FRS Monogram 6 speed. Inside the car there is a switch with a red led under the trunk release button that I don't know what it does. Does anyone know? Link is for the image of the switch.

Could be an aftermarket fog light switch or some type of accessory switch. I don't think 2014s came with a factory switch like the one you have pictured.

I was thinking that but it doesn't seem to do anything when I turn it on/off. I'll see if if turning it off/on with the headlights does anything. Thank you for your reply.

Might have been for interior lighting or some other accessory that is no longer installed. It's not a factory switch

Do you have a 3 prong plug installed in your car somewhere? I had one in my old matrix that had a switch to turn it on or off

Based on this slip you found and the description on it, it may be an aftermarket toggle switch for the toggling the DRL LED modes on the headlights.

Monograms come with the HID+LED headlights not found on the base model FRS's.

Thanks for your reply, I'm gonna try to see if having that switch on/off effects them.

That's an aftermarket LED rocker switch from Amazon or Alibaba. The card you found is just the insert that comes in the package with that switch. If you want to figure out what it does/did, you'll have to trace the wires or get lucky through trial and error.

Here's the same switch on Amazon:

Every time you flip the switch, some dude's garage door in New Jersey opens and closes.
