LOL No I didn't catch that. Gotta go all the way. You know the dude wasn't doing as a joke to go to that extreme.

I should have made it clear I meant all of it as well, although the italian jobs are a special kind of stupid.

Desperate for what?

You do know that Scion is a made up marketing thing, like Corinthian Leather. Or do you think your Scion is different from any other twin? That would be funny!

1) how is it awkward to paint calipers? That practice goes WAY back in car modding. It's pretty standard and common.

2) How is rebadging a Scion to a Toyota desperate? You know that Toyota owned Scion right? I've never understood the loathing for the Scion name myself, but it'd be the same as rebadging an Infiniti as a nissan or a Lincoln as a Ford.

Well I'd say it's awkward as a package. It's clearly not a Ferrari, and those brakes clearly aren't Brembo. I guess I can understand trying to complete the look, but I feel like trying to present something as something it isn't is kinda weird.

You have to wonder if he plays a sound clip of the Ferrari exhaust when he drives. I mean really if you go to that much trouble to create an illusion you should go all the way.

I thought you meant rebadging as a toyota. Yeah using ferrari badge is kind of pathetic IMHO. Toyota is scion but ferrari is only ferrari.

Brembo uses red calipers, but not all red calipers are brembos and those who paint calipers aren't trying to make anyone think they have brembos necessarily. Now painting brembo on your painted calipers or using caliper covers badged as brembo.... basically the same as rebadging as a completely different marque. Lame

I played a gig few days ago and the band's assistant/roadie gave me a hand w/ my gear after the gig because I was on a really tight schedule and needed to get out of there quickly. My car was parked by the curb near the loading area. When we pushed the cart of stuff out onto the sidewalk from the building, she asked which car was mine and I pointed to my FR-S. She said, "Wow.. you drive a Porsche?!?!"

Rebadging not necessary.. I still have "Scion" plastered all over it, per stock.

Full disclosure? I HAVE thought about putting Ferrari badges on it, just for the goof.

I have still not totally given up my joke rebadge plans. Just need to get the badges cheap enough to make the joke reasonably inexpensive.
