Dual purpose street/rally cross coilovers

Looking for coil overs that I can raise above OE height for rally cross, set at OE height for daily driving, and go lower than OE height for everything else like drift events and such. Tall order? Probably.... But I happened to stumble upon these which might fit that bill:

Anyone have any experience these Gorilla Silverback coilovers? Any suggestion for other coilovers that might accomplish my goals?

Car is K24 swapped using the Kpower kit

Have you considered removable spacers? I can't comment on efficacy or reliability, but it's fast and simple

I'm a suspension noob. Does changing ride height change toe and camber too?

Yes. Typically if you lower the car, camber "negatively increase". AKA, you might go from -2.0 to -2.5.

Then anytime camber changes, toe changes. Adding camber bolts for example, usually toes you out. I remember when I added camber bolts for an additional degree of camber, it toed the front out 1/8".

Yup I did some digging and apparently Reiger will basically make me anything I want if I give them my end goals... issue is it will be expensive as all hell haha almost as much as the car is worth. So I'll likely figure out a cheaper route.

Leave oem height, no aftermarket setup is as soft as oem springs to handle the big bumps, put Bilstein B6 on for better ride control and durability, add desired amount of camber, send it until something breaks. Tune bumpstops for like $100 if necessary.

Adjusting ride heights and alignment multiple times per year is a pain in the ass, you’re going to waste 1-2 hours of your life changing setup for each event? Gross. If you want a “do it all setup” you’re likely not trying to win anything so KISS - keep it simple stupid. For me time driving > time wrenching.


Edit: dirtfish uses a reiger front strut and a bilstein Motorsport rear damper, looks like about a $5k setup.

I did the same thing with a hand made set of WRC Ohlins made from scratch for my car, in Holland...and I can confirm its mega expensive (and that was after I think he eased the costs for me because he enjoyed the project so much), and takes months of logistics and manufacture.

Ultimately it was worth it for me, they are genuinely mind blowing astonishing, but it is overkill for a road car pretending to be a rally car (you simply can't get the length of travel you really need).

I run it at normal road height with 16" wheels and the ride is absolutely gorgeous...well sorted rally suspension is totally magic on less than perfect surfaces.

I contacted Flatoutsuspension via Facebook and told them about my weird desire for my car to be DD, Track, Drift, and Rally-X ready. They suggested they make me a custom version of their "Lite" coilovers so it gives me +- 1" adjustability from OEM height. Also told them that I had K24 swapped the car so they will make a small tweak to spring rates.

You have competing goals. If it does A very well, it won't do B or C very well. Spending more money means you'll have less compromise. But at any amount you spend, you'll still be making sacrifices in the areas for which it is not optimized.
If you're willing to make that compromise....well, that's your choice. That's also what I have chosen. But I went into it eyes wide open. And my range goes from a performance street setup to time trials on 200 TW tires. Your range is much bigger, which means more compromise.

I do agree! In my case I don't have any aspirations to be competitive, just wanna have fun without destroying the car on the dirt (hence the lift) so this works out. Should be a lot of fun in the end!

When you lift, you need rear subframe spacers to adjust where the rear wheels sit in the wheel well. Having only coilovers to lift will mess with handling due to the angles.
