Got a question that the brain collective here might have the answer too.
A coworker's car got hit by a non-insured driver who was under the influence. Their partner was driving and not listed on their insurance so it isn't being covered (partner also doesn't have their own insurance). They do have gap insurance and are going through that to cover the loan. I have only involved gap insurance when a car was totaled and insurance took it. I am assuming they don't pay for repairs since it's only for the loan, but then what happens with the car? Would the GAP insurance take the car in this case? Or will my coworker just get to keep the car as is in this instance?
