How disappointing. 2017 BRZ will reign supreme in my eyes. Granted my 2018 86 catfish bumper did grow on me in the end.

I don't hate it, and I'm hopeful certain things will bolt on to my frs with ease, but overall I don't like it over the original brz. The interior is my least favorite part. The exterior reminds me of a Lexus

I remember Akihiro "Dezi" Nagaya (General Manager, Toyota Design Division) explaining the design of FT-86 and 86, the 2000GT Heritage, the logo story, ...
There is nothing of that sort here (I know it's the Subaru, but knowing how things go...).

I must be the only one that thinks it looks good. Maybe because I don't already own an a brz/86 and am unbiased.

I'm sold. But hey, I'm also easy!

Family resemblance?

The dash reminds me a bit of the Toyota FJ, of all things, or maybe Jeep who also inspired that wheel gap, especially in the rear! I guess they wanted to allow it to take 20" bicycle wheels for the aftermarket.. lol.

They finally shaved off the 'stache.

Didn't anyone notice the BMW 5 Series style split centre arm rest??

I actually like it too. I don’t mind the dash like others seem to. That digital cluster is pretty bad though. Looking at the surround, seems like there are cutouts for analog gauges? Maybe a lower trim level with analogue gauges?

I see this as kinda like when the G35 evolved to the G37. Clearly related, but the focus changed to a little more upscale.

My wife and I own Lexuses and this does not look like one at all...

I would say this is more like a threesome offspring of a Nissan 370Z (side profile), Porsche Panamera/Cayenne (front), and a Honda Civic (rear).

Dunno, I'm getting a lot of Lexus RC vibes in this. The overall shape and curves, as well as aspects of the interior.

I don't get that at all. The Z is much more angular, this is far more rounded.

The bones of the gen 1 are clearly visible, but everything is just softer and more rounded... not a fan at the moment, maybe it will grow on me.

Yeah... in the profile shots, it's like the front and bottom are busy with all these lines and vents, while the back is just smooth and featureless. Bit disappointed in how it looks, but maybe it's better in person...

The lateral on the rendering looks better to me, with the roof merging to the back of th car, more like the 370z

I prefer the renderings. I realise the renderings probably have oversized wheels and tyres, but for some reason the real one looks way under-wheeled. Are those 18's? Because they look like 16's here.
