Rod knock at 150k miles

It's been a long, long time since logging onto the forums and even longer since posting. Unfortunately, the old girl seized up on a drive home from work. Started it up and heard some disconcertingly loud tapping, but figured I would try to limp it home (roughly 15 miles) and that was a disastrous mistake.

Sold it off to a mechanic where it will sit on their lot until they find a motor for it. Not in the budget for me, so it's the end of a 12 year long era. So long breezy.

That hardly seems like a fair price, they will but $2-3K in it and sell it for $15K (or more) in this stupid market..

Yea, happened right in the middle of a move. Had nowhere to store it in order to take my time to find a more reasonable buyer. In retrospect, it was a mistake to let it go so fast for so little but with the complications of moving and frustration about the motor, I ended up making a poor choice.

Sucks, loved that car.

500!?!?!

Clean titled cars with blown engines go for around 5k here, and when they go up they do not last long.

Man $500 is absolutely criminal...I would've given you at least a few thousand and happily have it shipped to AZ for it to become a project car for us..
