I don't want heat wrap as they might cause rust and/or other issue as heat are being trapped. I couldn't get ceramic coating done b4 installation due to being close to Xmas.

Called Dan from Car Mods Aust a while ago and he confirmed that the Perrin headerback system is perfectly fine for our RHD cars, as many aussie owners can now confirm...

You could get a pipe made from any half-competent fabricator in Aus. There's only $60 worth of stainless and flanges in one.

There's been some problems with the alignment of the Perrin over pipe.

Is there any reason to change the over pipe?
I don't think it makes hp or changes the sound and you can't see it so no bragging rights.

Those problems are minor I assume? I hope they are

Well, reason for the change is so i can rightfully say i have a full exhaust system on the car once headers are introduced

as far as i know, there are only problems when mixing and matching.

if u fit it between stock parts or stock and Perrin parts then i haven't seen anyone who have issues. please correct me if i'm wrong.

the reason i want overpipe is the stock one is restricted and i want a 2.5" one to match my front pipe and cat back.

stock vs Perrin:

The two people I know to have trouble both have Perrin from the header back.
One has the AVO kit and the other has the standard header.
The flanges didn't match up correctly so the bolts were used to pull the flanges together. The bolts later snapped.

There's more restriction from the cat in the headers. I have custom headers and over-pipe back 2.5". I will replace the over-pipe but probably not until I'm searching for 0.5 of a kW.
When someone releases one for $150 it will be more tempting.

With the one bolting onto the standard header, was it on a standard front pipe?

What's behind it effects the fitment of the front too.

I would like a header to complete my system in the future, when someone produces one that I like with a cat at a price that I can afford. I'd then get a tune done for max result.

Why didn't you get it custom made when u got the header done for a complete 2.5" system?

I think thats me, but when fitting we re-used stock bolts accidentally. refitted supplied bolts and so far so good
@Nardi330 - If you have the Perrin over, front and catback unresonated, is it really raspy for you before it warms up? Mine is crazy raspy until exhaust heats up, then its perfect

Yeah same here but it only takes 30 odd seconds for idle to settle.

While the car warms up I think the whole 2 levels of basement carpark could hear me.

Btw the stock bolts were too short so using the Perrin supplied bolts were no brainer.

You planning on changing headers?
