Haven't been on here in a long time, was curious to see what everyone thought.
I was actually a big fan of everything, except for that grille. If they made it extend lower, I think it would look better. In any case, I'm quite the fan already. The square part of the center stack is a little odd but the interior looks like a big improvement overall. Dunno if I would get it. Peak torque at a lower RPM should do wonders in making the car feel less gutless.

Front - Porsche with Mutton Chop Brake cooling Ducts
Side - Baby Lexus RC-F Rear - Last gen Honda Accord Coupe I like the overall package, but the front and rear are underwhelming. The Lexus/Toyota side profile designs don't seem cohesive to the front and rear. I really hope the GR86 has different bumpers. The interior redesign seems like a sidestep instead of an improvement. I'll pass on this 2nd gen but really want those seats and powerband. I wonder if/what suspension changes were made... |

I would have noticed eventually, but still. More like, "why, Subaru?" If the renders/spy photos end up correct, it will be a bit ironic now that the Toyota will have the mustache.

No one:
Literally no one: Absolutely no one: My opinion: Design feels like they took elements from a few other cars and slapped them onto the BRZ and I'm not sure it works for me. Silhouette and lower front end heavily puts me in mind of a Z car. The way the headlights and fender/hood bubble puts me in mind of a Porsche Boxter. Car doesn't look bad in WRB but I'm not sold and think the previous gen looks better. In terms of the 7000/7500RPM redline, it's totally possible to have the redline at 7000 and fuel cut at 7500. My friends RX8 is like this, redline is 8500 but it revs to 9000 before it cuts. This is normally denoted on the gauge cluster by light red after the redline and dark red after the fuel cut. We don't see this in the images but these pictures are pre-production so we will have to wait until this is clarified. It is very unusual to put peak power at the redline. I saw a lot of people saying "front and rear suspension is derived from the existing model" but then they mention double wishbone in the rear for the new model. 1st gen cars are multi link, not double wishbone, so I'd like to see this point clarified. Sounds like the motor got a healthy bump and if the previously posted torque/hp graph is to be believed, all but eliminated the torque dip. If so, it will probably quiet down the highway cruisers who complain endlessly about the cars power because they are too lazy to downshift. Also, 2.4L with 13.5:1 compression and a lot of people were already concerned about boosting the 12.5:1 first gen. Interested to see how it takes boost and how reliable it is at that boosted power level. I don't expect improved fuel economy though. |

I thought this at first, especially problematic with the new folding cover over the storage area.
But the center console looks like it might slope upwards after the ebrake so it might slope high enough to act as an armrest. Hard to tell though, need one of those first drive passengers to clarify it. |

Meh, plenty of aftermarket options will be around just like this gen.
I really like my Carsmo since it's light, easy to take in and out, and feels comfortable while being close enough to the shifter and leaving space behind it for the cup holders.

The fact they brought back the Premium trim tells me that they are price conscious (and they should be; that has been the biggest issue with the cars IMO). The premium was $26,600 for a 2019 model. $27k is probably a reach unless they go hard on the decontenting (no standard LSD and stuff like that), but the car isn’t a drastic change in the market it occupies to be jumping up over $30k base. We will see, though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Am I the only one that sees a little bit of 350z, RX8, and Porsche 718?

There are only so many design cues to be had in a sportscar. Of course some things will look like other cars. Even the basic aero designs are all going to be similar.
