All was fine. Saturn apparently uses paint made of some element not known on earth.

Got the winter tires on today. Went way quicker than I expected it to, probably helped that dad was around and rolled my tires away for storage, so all I had to do was tool clean up.

Found that I have an annoying rattle in my exhaust, from the resonator bumping against the transmission tunnel. I guess I'll deal with that when I have time (with the approved @humfrz fix, of course)...

I'm thinking of an early NA to get that nice high rev limit. Engine problems are a good excuse to go rebuild it a bit; the heavy iron block sucks in a lot of ways, but the silver lining is that they can be overbored by much more. Even if it's just the head that needs resurfacing due to warping, that's a good opportunity to shave it and raise the compression.

I'd probably spend a little money on an intake cam just for the heck of it, and hopefully end up with something like 140hp, which I could live with.

If I get a car that looks extra crappy, anything that rattles or doesn't work would just get thrown out, making it more hardcore and possibly increasing resale value to a racer LOL.
Same here mate. But i want an rx7 fc, if i find one on good shape and bad engine i will buy it in a heart beat. Those engine are by far easy to rebuild. Miata on the other side have ton aftermarket parts and would be cheap on the long term

As someone who has owned both.
Turbo II is much more fun. but MPG 8'(

If you get an early NA (1.6L) remember to check for crank wobble and change the rear to a later diff. (6" vs 7") the 6" one is known to grenade itself occasionally.
Even on stock power.
Not to mention the useless viscous diff in the early ones.
IE: Get the 1.8L if you can.

Dude - are you the only person in the world who ever managed to take three pictures in the Bahamas without a single bikini in frame?

There is far more to life than greenery and water!
