Talking SOMEONE JUMP ON THIS

Black on Black Subaru BRZ LIMITED 33k FIRM

TL;DR
1. College Grad Gift From Daddy
2. Has 400 Miles
3. Unregistered, Never driven by seller
4. Dad payed 35K OTD, Wants to sell for 33k Firm or trade for a low-mileage AP1 w/cash on top.
5. BMW is his DD

Oh did I mention: "Since 6thousand were made and so few limited edition black on black brz remained my father had payed somewhat above MSRP for the vehicle."

And oh yeah I'm kinda intoxicated right now...

Damn the father buys the kid a gift and doesn't even have the decency to be grateful and keep it! If that were my son i would take the car back and give him his student loans.

Ser...seriously?? Wow! Not only is the guy a total ingrate, but his dad's a moron for believing the justification for that markup. Those of us who don't shit money did our homework and are getting/got our cars at MSRP.

Haha wow. So many things wrong from the dad paying that much over msrp to the kid holding out for a non modified low mileage ap1. Either way I'm disgusted. Doesn't know what he's missing out on. I hope it stays in his garage while subaru catches up with production and sells a shit ton of brz at much less than what he's asking for.

I was lucky to get mine early for $200 below MSRP and my dad is waiting for his delivery locked a few months ago at invoice. But all dealers in and outside our regions have been adjusting upwards since then.

Isn't it kinda redundant to say "black on black?". I mean, if our cars had different interior color options, I may understand. Saying its a black BRZ LTD, we kinda get the whole look already.

Why is the dad a moron? He just wanted to give his son a gift. Too bad the kid is ungrateful and is being an idiot

I don't believe the backstory. My guess, he bought one for $28k, registered it (how do you BUY a car at a dealer and not register it??? The dealer usually does that paperwork...), and then is trying to do a quick flip for a $5k profit. Ok - maybe he bought it out of state so he didn't register or pay taxes yet.

Even if the backstory was true, no one is going to pay a private seller more than what a dealer would charge them - which should be MSRP if you shop around a little. Honestly, he's looking at $26-27k tops for that car. 400 miles - that's a chunk. It's used at this point.

Why do people think buying cars as presents is a good idea? The guy is going to lose a lot of money on this. He should sell his son instead and get one who wants a BRZ.
