Bought an FR-S today! :D

I've been wanting to pull the trigger on this for a while but was hesitant. Traded in a 2011 VW GTI which was fairly new as I had just traded in a 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. Went with whiteout and the upgraded stereo...and the 6AT. I know I know. Should be about. 4-6 weeks for delivery, which is fine. I can wait well into the winter.

now if you trade in a car and you have to wait for delivery. do you keep your genesis or do they give you a loaner?

The Genesis was traded in for the GTI. But in any case, no you just keep driving the car you are trading in. The dealer just expects normal amounts of wear and mileage.

Not to scare you or anything, but this forum has a very nice ISSUES->fix section.
check it out if you have any problems! I always do. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11587

**So far the only problem I had with this car is the "Car type" for audio was set to TC instead of FRS.

Congrats on purchasing the FRS. What made you get rid of the 2010 Genesis?

Congrats. You're gonna love driving the wheels off it. I chose a Manual, but I won't give anyone a hard time for going with an automatic in this car...best auto I have ever driven.

Thanks guys! I got rid of the Genesis because of a need for 4 doors, and although it was a great car, the build quality was very spotty. I then sold the GTI because I realized I never use the 4 doors (was thinking I would need the extra doors and space for my 2 y/o daughter and another rug rat on the way...not so as we use my wife's CR-V for everything).

I've also really wanted to get back to a Japanese car. I've owed many Celica's, Prelude's, a Lexus IS, a G35 coupe, etc. I was also a project manager for Denso, so I was ver involved in Toyota product development. I miss all of that, and can't wait get back to MY roots with this car! Very excited.

I test drove the 2013 Genesis Coupe R-spec and hated it. This car is the right car. Congrats on the right purchase.

4-6 weeks for delivery is great. Must be easier to get the autos. I've waited exactly 90 days as of today, since ordering my Firestorm MT. Still no ETA or VIN.

4-6 weeks is the dealer delivery estimate...who knows what will actually happen. I hope it's not longer

Although, if I can drive straight through the winter with the car I'm trading in, I can't say I will be too angry One less winter on the FR-S
