Hello dear hks supercharger owners!
In this year I destroyed 3 fa20 engines at timeattack races. Now i'm start to repair my engine and i have plan to install the front cover from FA20DIT with oil pump. This engine config (with fa20dit front cover) need to change belt roller fastening. One of the way - use a bracket from hks supercharger and cut off excess pieces first. Maybe some owners have broken supercharger and can sell me some parts of it? |

So I finally got the diagram from my tuner. Not entirely impressed? 30ºC unfortunately but that dip is not so satisfying. What do you guys think? V2 (gt2) with 41mm restrictor, 98 ron |

Not so bad the peak values, for 41mm and 98ron
the dip probably can be improved with the tune, but also depends on what exhaust you have and how good/shitty is that fuel |

Thank you for the input! I’m on HKS EL headers and HKS HiPower L-spec catback. I’ll have a word with my tuner.

Difference between the GT2-7040L and GTS-7040L superchargers
Just a quick note for anyone who's interested...
I have been looking at all the various supercharger kits available for our cars, and I really like the aesthetics of the HKS kit, including the very clean overall look of the kit and the fact that it uses the OEM airbox and intake manifold. With some of the reported supercharger failures in this thread, however, I was concerned that reliability could be an issue, so I was considering other clean-looking kits (Vortech, Edelbrock and Harrop) instead. I noted that the new HKS kits ship with the GT2-7040L supercharger rather than the older GTS-7040L, but from pictures, the only difference appeared to be the colour (with the GT2 being black/dark grey vs. silver for the GTS), but I figured they wouldn't just paint them and slap a new model number on, so there must be some difference. I contacted support@hksusa.com (who were very responsive by the way - they got back to me within a few business days) and asked what the difference is between the two superchargers, and the reply was: "As for GTS-7040L, it was already discontinued and we currently offer GT2-7040L only. This at least makes me hopeful that some of the design issues have been addressed, so the kit is back to the top of my list, and hopefully going on the car sometime late next year!

Looking to get my first SC on my 2013. Been looking at HKS due to the affordable price tag. Is it worth it or should I just get jackson or edelbrock?

the "GT2" refers to the new black-painted charger with improved reliability
So the standard kit is called GT2 V2 Supercharger It's got a 39mm restrictor in the intake and a 90mm pulley.. it tops boost around 0.6bar and has more boost down the curve The V3 kit (if it's still in sale and it's not a old stock) probably will also contain the same GT2 charger ... the GT charger is the old one light grey coloured It was created mostly for the US because some States only have 91octane So the V3 Supercharger kit will have no intake restrictor, a bigger suction pipe (the pipe between air filter and inlet of the charger) and a 110mm pulley The 110mm pulley will give less boost on low/mid rpm, but will reach an higher boost the higher you climb the engine rpm Since it has less boost overall, it will have lower intake temperature but the bigger suction pipe helps to increase the air flow rate It will also have more peak power than the v2 restricted There is also a 100mm pulley upgrade for the V3 kit, they sell it for e85 since it will reach almost 1Bar of boost at high rpm.. but if tuned, it can be run also with 93 oct The most powerfull combination would be a V3 kit with a 90mm pulley, or a V2 kit without restrictor and with a V3-suction pipe, but it's not simple to manage even with 93oct Will also require bigger injectors even with 93oct |

Thank you for the great response. I was hoping to find a V3 with the HKS Flasher. From what you're saying It sounds like I still want the V3.

Anyone had a problem with a belt vibration on Auto cars? We have a 2017 86 with auto tranny and in P and N it works nice but when put to Drive or Reverse, belts starts to vibrate. Crawl speeds same but when driving normally nothing happens of this happens. We replaced the tensioner with a brand new oem subaru and 2 idler pulleys but it did not fix the problem. Here is a video

Using a HKS SSQV BOV on my Vortech supercharged LS swap. I think it's not finding as intended. SSQV owners, can you describe how your BOV functions at various RPMs?
