i just flashed the stage 1 v4.03 tune and have driven it for abt 70 miles now... one thing i noticed is that there seems to be unburned gasoline smell during cold starts.. is that normal now that the cold start function is gone?

Ah I see. Wouldn't this affect/damage the cats since it's not heating up to operating temp as soon as possible? Also when winter comes along wouldn't this be a bigger problem? Sorry for the questions.. I'm still on v3 tunes and Im debating if I should go v4 lol..

It won't "damage" cats. They just won't be heated quicker to working temps (reason why primary cat is that close to cylinders and why cold starts in tune exist) and thus emissions, if measured right after cold start, tests will be worse. If that matters to you, where you live, it's up to you. I'm not familiar with emissions testing in cali to advise something.

Download page indeed takes you to 404.

I think OFP wants you to buy it now (for $0) and sign a few liability forms

Flashed my 2013 BRZ manual with v4.03.
https://support.openflashtablet.com/...4-us-6mt-v4-03

After 200miles, I'm getting consistent idle dip when the AC is on. I had the deal apply the TSB for this fix awhile ago when it became available and it seemed to fix the problem. After flashing to stage 1, the problem is back....any ideas?

My 2013 has always had the dips. It's totally random, some days it's hot as crap and it does it and other days it's hot as crap and doesn't do it. I can't find any consistency to it. I've flashed mine to the CAL that the TSB requires and it was better but still dips from time to time. I'm currently running OTS 4.03 on E85 and it isn't dipping anymore than it did on OEM firmware on 93. It's really annoying but I've just gotten used to it not. Kind of sad this car can't idle.

mostly.of.the dip is when AC goes on and it catches cells of 35% or more of PI
try to zero 0.2 and 0.3 engine load column in the three PI/DI ratio tables

I’m not sure if this will help but I’m planning to downgrade from v4.03 OTS to the older v2.

Just flashed the brz back to stock. The idle dip is gone. I'll have to try out v2.076

A couple weird things I noticed while I was flashing it back to stock
I got the 4.03 firmware from the site
Stg-1-v4.03-LC-FSS-ZA1JB01C.bin

My cars orig Cal code is ZA1JB01C

After flashing to v4.03 it changed to ZA1A01G

Is this normal? Wasn't there a safety mechanism to stop flashing the wrong .bin?
