Yeah, I am a sucker for "in house" tuning, particularly TRD. You know they will perform well that way! Yeah, they are a bit expensive, but not many others will be better I'd wager. I mean who gets more R&D time with the car than the in house tuning brand?

Nice gear Nafe. Im also a sucker for TRD and will give plenty of bias towards them whenever I think of mods for the car.

Look forward to seeing pics of your car with all the bits put on.

Do you plan to buy new wheels? Wish the trd wheels were decent looking. If I were to buy new wheels i doubt it would b trd as they dont look good at all

I can’t wait to see it with all the parts either haha :P
Spoiler should be getting done today. Will be upset if it doesn’t.
Gearknob looks good.
Coilovers will be done soon enough. If I stop being busy/lazy.
Yes, I definitely plan on getting new wheels. Probably at the end of the year. Only going with 17’s. If the TRD were 17in, a bit wider and bit more aggressive offset I would maybe consider them :P

Nice! Interesting that the TRD struts still use the full size springs.

I would start with the oem top mounts, camber bolts, and maybe a bushing kit. Then maybe the fixed whiteline top mounts if you don't have enough adjustment?

@nix - yeah that's pretty much what I am thinking. Idon't want a great deal of negative camber anyway, -2.5deg MAX. I had enough of that shit whenI had driftcars :P @Nardi330 - haha you are right about castor for sure!!

Nafe, did you order direct from Japan or from Toyota North Shore here in NZ.

Be nice to have some of your strong dollars fed into our economy!

Other than the coil-overs, you're paying for the TRD logo, not R&D. How much R&D and tuning is necessary for a shift knob, a fuel cap cover, all the various "garnishes" or a taped on rear spoiler?

i'd think the taped on spoiler (and body kit for that matter) would be developed in the wind tunnel. the VLN race cars have the front and side skirt installed (no rear spoiler as GT wing is fitted and no rear lower skirt to clear the straight exhaust).

other stuff like sway bars, brake pads, chassis braces etc should have some R&D involved.

with these JDM "tuners", there will be performance parts as well as accessories. dress up your ride the way you want. each to their own.
