Anyone using the Garmin Catayst (https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/690726)? My AIM Solo 2 is good, but this looks much better!

I can't wait and I also want to race with the Chicane in place.
When racing in mixed class group where you often time have different cars that run similar laptimes, just differently. Fast in straight, slow in turns or fast in turns and slow in straights. The long straight is frustrating for a momentum car that will put in lots of work/risk to make a pass in the turny bits only to have the horsepower car easily re-overtake them on the straight. By adding the chicane it allows the momentum car a better chance to retain their position once they've earned it and then get on with the race. Also the entry to the chicane is a much better passing zone than T1 ever was and now the old T1, because the entry speed is slow can act as better passing zone as well. I'm hoping this is overall a net positive as a 'racing' track.

That's a good piece of feedback. I'll let IRDC know that when they run it in late August. Maybe for the start of the race, bypass the chicane, then reset the cones after the cars go through. Or, throw the green flag after the chicane but that could make the next section sketchy... tough call.

Took my 86 to Pacific Raceways for the first time yesterday, during a Power Lunch lapping with Proformance.
Definitely need an oil cooler, the temp was peaking around 235.4F(113C). Didn't want to push the car too hard. Also got off the track Too much speed and started braking a bit late. This is with pedal dance activated. This isn't the Ice Mode, right? Since the tire squeal is clearly heard, so the breaking force should be equal to the applied pedal pressure. Northwest Track Days: Who, Where, When

235 is no big deal. It’s when you start hitting 270+ you really start dropping oil pressure. I’ll have to check out the vid later. You will for sure be wanting one before summer though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ll be there both days coaching and running. I need to confirm that Honey Bee Tire will be there to support us. If so, and you cord a tire, we likely can figure something out. If not, at worse, I have a few stock wheels and tires about 1/2 hour away from PIR. |

Thanks for the heads up. WIll come say hi for sure!
I do have a second set of wheels tires with BFG all seasons. My Maxxis VR1 set showed up yesterday but I am hoping to be able to squeak by with the COnti ECS this weekend.

Just did a day at the ridge (first track day in..... 6? years!)
I had some weird things happening - I lose power steering up the hill in turn 2-3 for a few milliseconds, but it comes back immediately after the left up the hill. Does anyone else get that? |

Yes. It is power steering cutout or you may be running to low or too soft of suspension setup and you are hitting your fender liner with the tire. That 2-3 section is high loads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
