Magnussen has the driving etiquette of a Forza driver. I havent seen anybody who entered the corner side by side with him and not get pushed off track.

Sad to see Leclerc be eliminated like that. He and Alonso make midfield battles 10x more interesting.

It was funny to compare the outcomes of Max/Kimi and Sainz/Grosjean entering Copse side by side. Just shows that some drivers are a level above the rest.

Every single driver has made this mistake in F1, if they haven't they're not trying hard enough.

This was a drive through penalty:

I do think it's been two races in a row Raikkonen has run wide and hit someone, if it happens again we're looking at something much more than a slap on the wrist. Lately though Raikkonen's pace has been damn impressive, from Monaco on he's been a contender for a win, wrong place wrong time or a boneheaded mistake has taken him off the top step. I'll be heartbroken if he doesn't put together at least one more win for Ferrari this year.

He's always been under threat to lose the job since he returned, but I'm thinking his career will last to the next decade and Mclaren will be hunting for a stable experienced driver in a year or two who won't complain too much being in a mid-pack car (After all Raikkonen drove the Lotus with some grace and an excellent PR team).

Well this conversation took a turn...

Original blog post below (supposedly), nothing I can say comes off well, if true he deserves the full punishment associated with the crime. 20 years in the spotlight, one accuser, nobody else stepped forward in the month+ since allegations were made public, hopefully this was an isolated incident if true, not for Kimis sake but for the many people he interacted with over the years.

https://metropolitan.fi/unlisted-pag...a-f1grandprick

But he has been known to be a drunken idiot off track, but so have some others...

Right, because an extortion attempt is clearly irrefutable evidence of guilt
Also, great reminder of why I stopped reading Jalopnik, complete garbage articles like this

No, the witnesses are the irrefutable evidence of guilt.

There is no mention in the Jalopnik article or any other report on the topic that there were any witnesses corroborating the allegations.

Oh yeah, you really expect his buddy that was there groping alongside him to step forward and corroborate?

Kimi, with nearly 18 full years in F1, has never had a single similar accusation before or since.

This woman however, simply did nothing for three years, then suddenly tries to extort Kimi. Being that she describes herself as "an artist, screenwriter and music video director who still bartends" clearly she has a history of stretching the truth.

At the end of the day, it's a "he said, she said" situation where it's impossible for anyone who wasn't there to be absolutely certain. But blindly jumping the conclusion that Kimi is guilty considering the facts and the credibility of those involved seems pretty silly.

You know I hate to say it (due to the way NASCAR does it) but the safety car out at the end bunching them up really made for a good finish.

So by your "he's been in F1 for 18 years" logic, if someone rapes or murders someone on their 18th birthday, they're probably not guilty because they've had no priors for the past 18 years? If someone works at a business for 18 years and on the day they are about to retire they grope a co-worker, they're probably innocent because they never had anyone complain about them in the past? Nice "logic" there.

Your post is exactly why women usually don't speak up when this sort of thing happens. There may have been lots of other women who've had to endure Kimi's bullshit, but they were too afraid to step up because who is going to believe them? Honestly who do you think people are going to believe, the white male celebrity or the minority female? You've already clearly stated who you believe, great job at keeping the misogynistic patriarchy in place!

Nice victim blaming too. So she's responsible for his actions because she's a bartender? It's her fault? Do you see how fucked up that sounds?

Her chosen occupation is in no way relevant to the situation, it has zero influence on her integrity or "credibility". To imply that she is a liar instead of you believing this event actually occurred says a lot about you as a person.

If her goal was extortion, why did she wait three years to come forward with his name? Isn't the point of extortion to get the most money out of someone as quickly as possible?

@reni @Clipdat why go back and forth about it, defending either side without knowing the truth?

If it turns out he did nothing, then what?
If it turns out that she is trying to extort him, then what?
