Trunk Organizer Ideas

I want to know what organizers some of you use. I like to keep a bottle of motor oil, first aid kit, jumper cables, and quick detailer with some rags. But right now I have all just laying around in the trunk so it bounces all over the place. I need some ideas and opinions about what is out there. Thanks!

I used a couple disk magnets with holes in the center, big washers with small holes, a couple of hooks with threaded ends, and bolts at the top of the trunk. The magnet just helped hold it in place as it is a really tight fit getting a finger up there. I super glued a nut to the washer and then taped that to my finger and was able to get them installed. I hang a duffel bag from them and inside the duffel I have a Dime Bag for tools. Not its intended use but is the perfect size and being padded eliminates tool rattles. Plenty of additional bag space for rags, gloves, et al.

I did take a look at that one, but from here it seems like it takes quite a bit of space on what it looks like an Outback/Crosstrek. Subaru Website says it fits on the BRZ, but it would limit the space for other things. Thanks though!

I use a similar idea using the upper holes as per @therealstoly

I have a cheap generic cargo net that is anchored on both sides as per installation hardware BUT I also have a few carabineers that I hook up to some larger zip ties (to stop any metal noise & wear from the metal carabineers) that I passed through the frame holes at the top of the trunk so I can detach the side anchors if ever I need the long space the folded rear car seat provides and yet keep the loose junk secure in the netting.

I always found that a box or any container back there is not space efficient.

I’m a long-time Hatch junky and like driving with seats folded down…

I like the concept, my last car was a hactback so it was easier to store stuff since it had nice compartments to the sides.

Look at utilising the Spare wheel area for the small more permanent service stuff (wrap them to keep rattles down)

i made my own mounting points, and use what i believe used to be a oldmobile allero or aurora cargo net stretched across the drivers side.
this is without the stuff in it

I purchased some self-adhesive velcro (hook and loop) strips and applied them to the bottom of a couple small bins from the dollar store. Super cheap and effective way of keeping things from rolling around in the trunk!

I have something similar to this. I got it free from my insurance agent. You can have it one, two, or three pocket, or fold it flat out of the way. Has Velcro on the bottom so stays put.

Cheap. Simple. Variable sizes (I have the one pictured). Velcro strip keep it put. Collapsible and easy to remove when I have to put bigger stuff back there.
