So, I'm going to get a Hakone that's coming in the next allocation (in about a month). This works better for me anyway, as I'll be in a better position to make the purchase at that point anyway. It's just a bit frustrating.

Anyway, here it is if you want it!

Why don't they just swap bumpers for you?

Those comparison pictures basically make the Supra look like it has exactly the same profile as the 86 and it's kinda weird.

I thought about asking for that, but it's actually better for me to get one a month from now anyway. If they drill the new one, then it's time to talk about some deep discounts!

Hakone Edition, fresh off the ship.

Mine came ashore on October 14, and arrived at the dealer on October 23. It now sits in the back lot awaiting PDI and prep. Delivery next week. Interesting that it came through with Michelin Primacy tires rather than the all-season Bridgestone Turanza's that have been most common here in New England. No problem since they will be replaced with Michelin PS 4S's from my 2015 FY-S. I will run my Blizzak WS-80's this winter on different wheels.

So I was going through the pics on the dealer website, looking to see if there were any pics of the new 2020 radio with Apple CarPlay, and I was surprised to see that the backup camera image was displayed on the rear view mirror instead of the head unit. That is news to me. I like the head unit better, if for no other reason that it’s bigger. Also, for those individuals like myself who thought about swapping radios to get CarPlay functionality, this might end that pipe dream.

The backup camera has been on the mirror that for all the GT grade 86's.
I think the base models have them in the HU (not sure).

I was actually hoping with the new HU the 86 GT gets the backup cam image there...but I guess not.

I adjusted my handbrake shoes the second day of owning my car. Pathetic setup but I guess it's good enough for as quickly as they must have to pump them out. Not a showstopper.

Never pull a handbrake without pushing in the releae button, but to check whether it's set right, the rachet should click 3 or 4 teeth.. photo of my car with handbrake on.
