I'm still debating on getting the retainers, so I may wait a little longer to see what's the verdict.
Perfect Circle Engines. Cody Dawson. He's in Bunker Hill WVa. That's just a few miles north of Winchester. He's popular and has a long wait list.

Probably more of a geometry problem than lash. I've heard the "updates" includes longer valve stems and a change in rocker arms and possibly a wider cam surface. The lash should decrease with wear due to valve recession so, in theory, should be less of a factor in an older engine .

I did see a You Tube video where deposits on the valve stem caused valve float in a street driven Corolla. I wouldn't think that's likely on a track driven engine.

Even it could occur under 3k rpm. That was my case.

Valve float is caused by a few things. Spring harmonics or spring resonate frequencies are the main reasons. Its basically springs that are very well controlled, no fault of the valve or rpms. Its just physics. The beehive spring addresses this problem better than any other solution as far as I know. Here is a good video on spring technology. If its too long for you, skip to about 20 minutes to see the springs in action. But watching the entire video explains a alot
