LED’s Etc

Still waiting for my BRZ ordered early October.

Will be upgrading lighting to LED’s.
Does anyone have a list of LED replacements for…
Dome
Door
Trunk
Visor lights
Back-up lights
License plate

Suggestions for protective front bottom seat covers? Was looking at “USA Seamstress Premium Neoprene Bottom Seat Cover” from Amazon.

How can I protect center console from scratches? Some type of clear matte vinyl wrap?

Thanks!

This first link is for 194 bulb replacements and will work for the Dome, Door, and Trunk.
The second link is for the Visor lights, but I have not confirmed if they fit. I will once they arrive, and I install them.
I think the license plate has LEDs as stock.
The Back-up lights are bulbs and not LEDs but I am not sure what is needed to replace them.

After tons of different LED bulbs in multiple different vehicles, I have found that they are not very reliable or long lasting. I see it constantly on the road too, license plate bulbs upgraded to LED that looked great at install, but are just barely flickering now. Too cheap of a bulb? Maybe. Or maybe the -30C winters we get every year have caused some issues? But ultimately I turned away from LED's in my cars because I never found any that were 100% reliable and long lasting. My current Mazda 3 has no LED bulb upgrades and with 5 years and 100,000km on it, not one has burnt out or started flickering. LED's are meant to surpass the life expectancy of standard bulbs but for automotive, that has not been my experience.

mostly to do with the many led bulbs using the lowest quality led's they can get their hands on to maximize profits, and limiting thermal area of the pcb, so the led can't easily dissipate any heat it builds up. i build my own replacement boards using genuine cree, samsung, lumiled, or luxeon chips. i rarely have issues. but then, just my raw material cost for the brz dome light board was about $15. most companies wouldn't charge any less than $30-50 for a similar board to make up for the design and build time...

Buying these T15 bulbs to replace the reverse lights, they should work.
