It depends on what you want your tires to do? What's the most important thing about the tire you want? What is your budget?

I won't be tracking, nor drifting. Something that would mostly be good for DD, but can take a bump or two whenever I let loose. Everyone says to get rid of the stockers for better tires, so why not?

well we need more details than that. Take these criteria and rank them from highest to lowest priority for you.

price/economy
dry performance (grip)
wet performance (resist hydroplane)
noise/vibration/harshness
tread life

then we can make recommendations based on your needs.

Let me think about it. Many tires with dry performance as #1 don't even have wet performance as a consideration. lol. You're looking for 225/45/17 correct?

Yes Sir, 225/45/17's would be ideal

I think I'm asking for potentially the impossible. I hear of people breaking loose in the rain, and the last thing I'd want to do is face the opposite end of traffic against a traffic barrier. It's a DD, if I can get to and from work without any issues, then all is kosher
