Manual tranny will not go into gear
I should consider myself lucky, had the car 5 years and FI a couple, mostly trouble free, now over 100k miles a couple issues have arisen. Foremost is that the car will not go into any gear when fully stopped at a light etc. Shifts fine with engine off. Changed oil, refilled with genuine Subi GL3 dope. Problem persists. After several searches it is starting to sound like shifter fork is wetting the bed. Before dumping a couple hundred bucks into a Verus fork, ball, and bearing, is there anything I may be overlooking?

No question at all. Go with the Verus fork and ball.

Put in gear, push clutch in then start. Tell us how that feels. Verus does not make a shifter fork. Let’s hope it is the clutch fork that they do make.

Grady, it was a long hot day yesterday. Clutch fork was the intended target. Starts fine in gear with clutch depressed. Especially with the AC on, it will randomly stall while sitting at a red light when in first gear. I just flushed clutch cylinders with DOT 3 and checked pedal free play. Removed the dust cover on left side of tranny and tried to get a mirror and flashlight worked around to inspect the ball perch for cracking but could not get a good angle on my bi-focals |

Where does the pedal grab on the clutch? Close to floor? Pedal been adjusted?
Verus fork is a smart upgrade, know one person locally that solved their shift issues with an upgraded fork. |

Going to go on experience and say it's the ACT clutch system itself.
Clutch drag is not an uncommon issue among ACT clutches. I had an ACT that did the same, especially after driving a few blocks and warming the system up. My friend had similar issues on his ACT system, and other accounts have been recorded on this forum as well. I ended up putting the OEM clutch system back into the car, and it drove perfectly fine again. ----- Try racing the engine with the clutch pedal depressed next time you're stuck at a light. It can help slip the friction disk away from the flywheel/plate. It's not a fix, but at least it can help you get out of a pinch |

It does get worse after driving awhile. Heat does play a part for sure. I just replaced the 1.5 year old Motul with genuine Subi 85-140 to no avail. |

Sounds to me the most likely case. Installed April of last year and has done ok until recently. The Verus fork would surely be an improvement over stock, but if bending fork were the root cause, pedal engagement would be right on the floor. IMHO |
