Do you think it would better to leave as is or remount and go w/o an alignment? I'm about to take a 300 mile or so trip.
I'd worry the most about the toe in/out. A misaligned toe can cause extra scrubbing of the tire, thus decreasing treadlife. If the toe was already fixed, I'd leave it as is and remount/align after the trip.

Ideally I'd just take another car for the trip, but I'm not sure if you have another car.

Yes, I'm sure. See channel machined into the top plate mounting bolts. Like I said.. it's a good design just wish the damper valving was better.

Not only is your camber gain minimal, but your caster is completely off which will have an effect on ride quality and handling. I would recommend remounting it as soon as possible but not without an alignment.

The studs for the plate have slotted holes on the bottom for caster gain.

Sorry I won't be able to give an update today. They will need my car till next week. They did ask for my permission beforehand for the extended stay. Eibach has been very accommodating, they've given me a rental and they will trailer my car back to the LA area so I don't have to make the hour drive to Eibach.

Hopefully Jackson or someone can give us some insight on what they've found.

I'll be there instructing. Let me know if you need any help with them while you are there.

Really disappointing week with the R1s. I took a joy ride on Monday through a route that I know pretty well. The road conditions there aren't that bad (or so I thought with the stock suspension) but I was losing traction through numerous turns since the car floats even through small bumps. The traction light just flickered through most of the turns and I actually had to drive a lot slower than my stock suspensions to even feel safe.

Fast forward to today, I decided to give it another shot on the same road this time adjusting the rebound just in case the car was bouncing due to the rebound being soft. No difference at all.

If there isn't any significant update next week from eibach, I think I'm giving up on these.

Any updates perhaps?

Can you or @Jackson share what's being done to them?

I've been w/o coilovers for a month now

I got my camber plates rotated and the car aligned. Everything is running smooth. The car is a little less harsh but still a little bouncy. I'm on pretty bad pavement up here in Ohio though. Still a lot of noise more so from the rear struts now (sounds like they rattle around over bumps).

Got my car back. Eibach made changes but I don't know the exact details since spoke to Mark for only a couple of minutes since I was in class. From what I remember, they replaced the springs with longer springs and removed the helper springs, changed the valving, and he mentioned they did something about the noise issues. I don't know if the changes apply to kits other then the R2, but Kevin did mention they tested the R2, R1 and Pro Street S. They will make an official statement so basically just take what I said as hearsay.

I'll hopefully get the time this week to get an alignment and mess around. I'm just glad Eibach took our concerns serious and grateful they provided me with the rental car, trailered my car back, the small gift and working around my schedule.

That sounds like they pretty much redesigned everything

If you get under your car, can you take pics and post them?
