Aim Solo DL showed up, final track day booked for the season at Grand Bend (though there may be an impromptu TMP day). Sad the year is coming to an end, but 2022 will hopefully be a lot less prone to oil leaks. Oil cooler parts and some other small bits from Japan should be showing up in the next week and will go on over the winter.

Final track day of the season tomorrow at Grand Bend. Oil changed, brake pads swapped, oil cooler lines tightened and no longer sweating. Excited to try out the Solo and fingers are crossed for it to be dry!

Grand Bend was definitely interesting. To start, the morning sessions were cool and dry. Managed to chip away at my times getting more comfortable with the car and taking a few friends for ride alongs. Then without a passenger, I was able join the sub 1:16 club on Technical with a 1:15.900 while chasing down a Veloster N.

After lunch it started raining right as my group was going out, and while putting around on a warm up lap waiting for oil to come to temp I caught some water and ended up parking the car in the wall.

To start, I am okay and my passenger is okay. We hit the wall at about 30 kmh backwards. The damage looks a lot worse than it is, the trunk will be pulled out this winter and sealed up, and the bumper skin is going back on. Tail light, wheel + tire, trunk, muffler, and suspension are all okay. Honestly, I am most upset about the exhaust tip as I quite like the sound of the Blitz. I'm not really sad or angry that it happened, I knew(and now know first hand) the risks of going to the track and if I wasn't willing to accept them I would not go.

2022 plans are to fix up the car and push for a low 1:15 Technical, and a 0:58 on mod.

Glad to hear you're ok dude. Didn't realize you had a run in. You'll fix her up in no time and I'll see you again at the track next year

I'll be back! Even with the repairs, the track is WAY cheaper than a stunt driving ticket

Amen, brother. Glad you're ok. You'll get her fixed up for sure. It's all part of the adventure.

Always an adventure in life, car was being stored in a week anyway... Didn't want to give myself a winter project, but oh well. A new livery was already being planned out, since I did want to de-wing the car and no one wants to trade trunks, so I guess it works out

Lmao, for that amount of money you'll have enough practice to make it to the red group 😉

Car is now in storage mode. Back on stock wheels + some bald tires, pulled out the bucket seat for the sim, and pulled the battery.

Waiting on a few more quotes to come in from body shops before towing her to one.

In the mean time, Assetto in VR to practice for next year. Since the car is getting a new bumper, I figured it might be time to wrap the rear end as well and go wingless.

I’m curious as to how you did your bucket seat setup. Are you using the Bride seat, with aftermarket rails, and the factory seat belts? Did you happen to use a buckle extender on the center console side to have body contact with your lap belt?

Bride Zeta IV, Bride FO Rail, 2.2 Ohm resistor soldered to a cut off OEM airbag clip (full plug & play). For the seat belt, I use the OEM buckle flipped around and bolted to the FO rail. The belt is also routed through the left (sitting in seat) hole and then across the waist. Other seat accessories I have are a Bride Side Cover Pocket, and a Bride Bucket Seat and Reclining Seat Optional Parts Seat Belt Guide.

This post also has another picture, and I believe there are a few more through the thread. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...7&postcount=51

If I had to do it again, I would ditch the sliders and get a PCI/Bride solid mount.

Same set up as last year, just brought the RS4 RPF1 inside because they shouldn't be stored in the cold. The passenger rear has about 3" of rash on it, but is otherwise fine.
