Huh, found this on his facebook page after seeing that wheel.
"Troll Note:
fifteen52 has engineered the Tarmac wheel to break away as it did here in the video so more crucial suspension parts are not compromised in the event of a crash. This is a standard practice in motorsport."

Wheels are designed to break away in an impact in motorsports? First I've ever heard of such a thing. Ken Block's same wheel did the exact same thing.

Open wheel cars are designed so heavy components, like the engine/transaxle separate from the driver's cell in violent accidents. Also, the wheels and suspension absorb a lot of the impact in an open wheel application, but that being said, the wheels are usually still in one piece.

Wheels themselves should never be designed to fail, for any reason. In an accident, the last things to fail should always be the brakes, then steering, both of which require the wheels to do their job.

You are aware, being an educated 21st century, that curses are a myth, nonsense, poppycock, the figment of untutored, undeveloped, primitive minds?

Haha of course I do, I was just unaware that there was a proposed "curse" that affects drifters......
