Lip Spoilers that Cover OEM Mounting holes?

I really liked the 5AD lip spoiler I had on my '13, much more the the OEM spoiler on the Hakone. I've searched, but I'm not finding much similar to the 5AD that are speced to cover these OEM mount holes. What's out there that may fit the bill?

jdm trd trunk spoiler covers those usdm oem gt style spoiler holes, but does not use the holes. i believe they give you these round plastic stickers to cover the old holes before putting the spoiler on top of everything during the installation

EDIT: sorry upon further research it doesn't seem to fit

I found one of these on for ~$370, before paint. The description says hoiles must be drilled after removing the stock spoiler. Has anyone installed one?

https://www.trdparts.jp/manual_pdf/8...S342-18001.pdfthe proper installation method asks to drill 2x 10mm holes. however some people on here have just cut off the plastic bolt that was supposed to go through that hole and relied solely on double sided tape.

i don't think anything covers the stock '16+ spoiler holes. there's been a ton of trying, but i don't recall any success stories.

Verus Engineerings' does cover the holes.

There are some duckbill style ones that cover em, they just don't utilize the holes for their install and have you put plastic stickers to seal up the hole before you slap the new spoiler on

EDIT: hrm nvm it looks like this is the zenki model https://www.trdparts.jp/product/86/price.html The JDM 86 GT Limited trims have the same trunk bumper as the USDM GT's and from that chart it shows up as non-compatible. wish i looked up the different JDM trims before I ordered the spoiler i thought their regular GT's were the same as the USDM ones but their regular gt's come with a bare trunk top while the GT limited comes with the kouki oem spoilers

Anyone know if trunk lids come pre painted if ordered from factory? With the thin metal on our trunk lids i am not sure I want to go with the weld and fill route and probably see if I can do a trunk lid swap.

I have this on my car after removing the stock spoiler on my 2014. I covered the old holes with spare mounting tape on both sides, then cut the plastic mounting points off of the spoiler for a tape only install. Works fine. Also, that link I posted above offers the unpainted spoiler for a little less than your $370 quote. Maybe confirm the TRD spoiler does cover the new gen holes, but idk why it wouldn't.

FYI the TRD and similar spoilers will not cover the holes left from the '17+ spoiler. The only option I know of that will is the newest version of the Verus spoiler mentioned above.

I really wish someone like MPH would make a trunk with the 5AD lip profile.

The TRD spoiler is not compatible with the kouki versions with aluminium spoiler, as it doesn't cover the holes, but it's compatible with all other versions (IDK about the Aero/Nur Spec versions).

Spent a lot of time today calling various my local body shops and parts departments for quotes, looked up prices for aftermarket parts, shared experiences from fellow owners on forum/social media. Finding out the spoiler isn't compatible with the USDM GT trim last night was a bummer, but I have already ordered the TRD spoiler so will have to just continue jumping with both feet in

So in summary, I have listed the duckbill spoiler options for us Kouki USDM GT owners from cheapest to most expensive: (My numbers are based on either US based retailer USD costs or what I was quoted in CAD converted to USD)

1) Trunk trade with someone in your area with a base model in the same color code looking for a trunk trade for one with a 17+ spoiler Cost: $0 + price of spoiler (TRD pre-painted rear trunk + side spoilers = $450 USD shipped to North America)

2) Versus CF spoiler - covers all '17+ spoiler holes; single piece does not come with side spoilers. Cost: $580 USD shipped to USA

3) Modellista Kouki Rear Spoiler - covers all '17+ spoiler holes; 3 pieces including side spoilers like the TRD aero spoiler + optional side spoilers; available pre painted in D4S, K1X, and M7Y. Cost: $810 USD shipped to North America

4) New base model OEM trunk lid + paint job - Swapping everything over from the old trunk to new trunk seems pretty straight forward to be able to DIY. Cost: trunk lid - $418 CAD (~$300 USD) + painting the lid - $450 CAD (~$330 USD) + cost of spoiler (TRD pre-painted rear trunk + side spoilers = $450 USD shipped to North America)

5) CF trunk - cost: $850-900 USD + cost of spoiler (TRD pre-painted rear trunk + side spoilers = $450 USD shipped to North America)

6) Weld fill the hole + repaint existing trunk lid - Cost: anywhere from $800 CAD to $1200 CAD + cost of spoiler (TRD pre-painted rear trunk + side spoilers = $450 USD shipped to North America)
**The body shops I called to get a quote for this job all said it really is not worth going this route as the panel is quite thin and there is a risk of warping if you want to go with this choice and they will not be responsible for warping. These were also the same bodyshops that quoted me the prices for painting the new trunk lid**

Obviously if you have the welding skills to attempt patching the hole yourself without warping the lid that'll be by far the best choice. The above options are all for those who don't possess such skills

There are also super cheap non-clean/professional-looking options such as using plastic plugs/stickers over the holes to seal them and painting over them with touchup pen. Some people have also mentioned vinyl wrapping after sealing the hole from the bottom up with filler.

Right now i'm leaning towards option #3 since I'm in Canada and the cost of Versus spoiler + shipping with the weak CAD will make it more expensive than getting a second trunk lid and painting it.

EDIT: added Modelista Kouki Rear Spoiler

Rallybacker or KRC are questionable, but did you check Modellista 3 piece duckbill? Modellista is a sub brand of Toyota, so I assume they made those 3 piece duckbill specifically for kouki... but I could be wrong

Yep Modellista 3 piece definitely covers the oem holes according to https://www.86worx.com/modellista-ko...r-spoiler.html @ roughly $810 USD shipped for prepainted versions it replaces option #3

Definitely worth looking at. Personally not feeling those mild horns but the fact it is available prepainted for some OEM codes is a plus.
