Trd exhaust resonated

Hey guys, been trying to find a used catback for a while now without any luck. My v1 is too loud, my question is, does the trd catback have resonators in it? If not I may just have a muffler shop weld in another hfc lol.

TRD High Response muffler is at 86 db when the factory one is 82 db.
There is a bit more sportif tone but only when the pedal is full down.
In general, I have enjoyed it quite a lot

So TRD is about 1/3 louder (+10db = doubled perceived loudness, so those +4db should be about that ..).

I'm hoping it will quiet my system down a bit. Uncatted header with an unresonated muffler is super loud. If I swap out the muffler, it shouldn't effect my tune very much correct?

It won't affect it at all.

What would you suggest Andrew? My v1 is unresonated, so surely a resonated muffler would quiten things down, my thoughts on it at least

You could try getting the HKS dual resonated front pipe to quiet it down. It shouldn't affect your tune

Resonators will affect the sound/tone more than total volume. A different/"bigger" muffler will have a bigger influence on volume.
