how do you clean vinyl?

I recently had my hood wrap with gloss black vinyl and Im looking to get my roof done next week. Anyways how the heck do I clean the vinyl? do i use regular car wax?

Regular car soap. It stains more easily so clean it often !

try a small spot and see if there is any issue. I think you'd be fine. If you're not sure, stick with pure sealants (no carnauba) or even maybe just maintain it with spray wax

There are various Matte Detailers out on the market. Finding some locally may be tough however. I got excellent results today using Meticulous Matte Detailer for in between cleanings or if it just gets too dirty and shows waterspots, I'd recommend Natural Shine Dressing

Both products are made by Chemical Guys so I linked you directly to their site so there is no confusion on which I meant.


Using a wax or sealant will definitely stain and discolor the matte vinyls so be careful not to do that or tape them off if you plan on polishing or waxing the car.

This works well been using it on car bras for the past 10 years. Clear car bras not the black leather ones
