Something about UEL headers and a pop tune really makes me dry heave. I guess I'm not the demographic for that broken car sound.
Don't you know? Sounding lethargic and farty is the new cool.. No one wants to sound like F1/2/3.. GT1/2/3.. etc cars anymore, that's too high pitched and lame.

I love that Nardi deep corn. Is that the 330 or 350 mm diameter? How does it feel?

It's a 330 mm wheel, I love it as well ! More of a sporty feel

Dude you met Aaron in person? AND you bought his steering wheel? Sick lol.

Does the wheel sit closer to stock with the quick release + deep dish design or no? That's my biggest concern with the deep corn vs classic design.

Finally what about cruise control, did you somehow keep it?

He was real cool. It does sit closer to the driver than stock but no issues. Initially didn't care for cruise control when I sold my stock wheel .. but might try to get it back. Not sure yet

Gonna put my flame suit on for this one, but really, I don't care that much...

...the 86 platform is basically turning into the 1992 EG hatch for the younger generation. You can just tell by the video posted by OP or better yet, just go for a drive; all kinds of MY13 FR-S cars bastardized to death can be seen every few minutes.

Don't care much for the torque dip, don't care for the apparent "lack of power" or any other common gripes people may have with this platform...the only thing that makes me want to sell mine is the thought of being associated with the type of people modding MY13 cars - just an absolute train wreck

Eventually happens to any inexpensive performance car as they get older and even cheaper. Just point and laugh.

With rusted-out fart-cans and mismatched body panels.

believe it or not, the requested mods get cheaper and cheaper as the cars age.

watched this trend with the 3rd gen eclipse, was part of it where midway through--valued around $10-15k, people were doing 3.8 MIVEC swaps with no problems, some guys building 4g64's and running 1/4's near 10 seconds or better, and near the end where the cars value topped $5k for a good condition model and every mod people wanted to do had to come in under $300 or it was 'too expensive'.

that's cars.

Same thing happened with the Z32 300ZX community. The Z was never featured in a movie of anything, so they just got old and values dropped - especially the poor NAs.
Drive what you like and mod it like you want. It's your car.

EDIT: well, the car values got cheap, but the mods didnt. With the twin turbos, you still had to have two of everything...

I dont even get how that's even possible. How does it change the frequency and sound like its revving at 18000 RPMs?

Shameless plug, a friend of mine had actually started a fb group for any twin owners in Oregon. If you search Oregon 86 it should pop up. There's not much in the way of any 86 centered groups here so I think it'd be pretty cool to get a nice page going in Oregon for meets/cruises, or even group track days or something.

I remember one of the young guys who did the first 3.8 MIVEC swap and died in an accident trying to pass several cars that were in a line. I don't miss my 3rd gen, never felt such nauseating torque steer and junk interior. The seats were pretty awesome for cruising though.
