If you are interested in just an axleback, the Fujitsubo Authorize S is louder than stock, but not excessive. They have both a '13-16 and '17+.

I'll say either depending on the situation, which means it's probably about perfect for a sporty exhaust.
I'll +1 that to a purely otherwise stock system. It has the perfect dual personality for a DD.
If you're willing to use Catted headers, they work too.
The Corsa system is 41 pounds which I think is heavier than the stock setup lol.

The STi axleback is interesting. I haven't heard that on anything with headers yet.

I haven't had any issues with my Perrin 2.5" resonated in CA. Have driven by cops (sometimes at full throttle) with no issues.

I have it and love it! The sound never gets old, cops leave me alone (I commute daily to downtown LA), it turns plenty of heads, and keeps a smile on my face. It has a nice deep tone, not drone-y and will give you some pops. Whichever exhaust you decide, just be sure to listen to plenty of different audio clips. FT86speedfactory had a good promo video for this exhaust. I'd say the audio comes close, but not what you hear in person.

Audio starts at the 1:40 mark

Can't go wrong with the TRD exhaust. If your budget is <$1k, perhaps find one used.

41 lb is the nominal shipping weight I believe. IIRC, someone in the owners thread actually weighed it and compared it to the stock exhaust and it was lighter.

Second the Corsa, it sounds amazing.

I still got ticketed for it though. BS that they can just write a ticket and not even have to measure the decibels right then and there.

Vote for the Gredddy Supreme. Nice sound, great fitment and build quality, and under $800

Revving in neutral video doesn't tell the whole story, ripping to the top of 3rd gear makes intoxication noise.

I'm still on stock catback because I can never settle on something. I love the compRS but it's not 304 stainless, so I know it'll rot... Unfair

Best legal exhaust options in california
California.... So weird that an exhaust tone is a legal concern but not an influx in ILLEGAL immigrants.
