mechanix gloves are used for shooting guns. they don't belong anywhere near cars.
nitrile gloves are used in surgery, and have no purpose being under a car. Quote:

the thinsulate gloves are the only ones that actually keep most of the dirt and grime off my hands. the others always end up acting more as an 'air filter' to my hands, and i'll end up with a fine powder of whatever i was working on across my hands. but they're slightly warm, and make me feel better.

Is now a good time to mention that as the pads get thinner the caliper body moves towards the inside of the rotor revealing the inner pad through the window? I wasn't really paying attention to the brake discussion but I'm sure that came up. It's actually a pretty clever design, allowing one to check the higher-wear pad while maximizing strength by minimizing the window size.
Just thought I would share that. |

Safety safety safety
I have multiple pairs of Crocs, great for walking to the showers, excellent toe protection, and they come with a safety (strap), which, if the DO is gullible, can be worn with socks into the mess. I even have a digicam pair I picked up in camp holland, TK circa 2008. Disclaimer: Crocs are like ice skates on mud.

If your not shopping army your paying to much.
Pro tip: I have found that supplying caffeine to Log staff when requesting stuff guarantees supplys of the latest and greatest PPE available. It's amazing what you can get when you have caffine and/or coffee as a bargaining tool.
