My 2013 A/T is completely stock except a drop in K&N filter. I run 93 octane and am looking for a bit more 0-60 speed. Is it possible to safely do with the OFT or do I need to change the diff gears?

Make sure your fueling and maf scaling is good Id probably try adding a bit more retard in the transient ignition retard tables if you getting knock on throttle transients. try whats in the 2017 roms the tip in tables had little effect on knock reduction for me see below for transient retard tables http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=18 |

When using the OFT for tuning and on a dyno, what's the best procedure after loading a tune and before making a power pull?

Prime your fuel trims. Make several slow (as slow as you can without feeling unstable) climbs to 5500rpm. I usually do this in 3rd or 4th. Once your LTFT has stabilized, and if your IAM is still at 1, let 'er rip.

Some time after installing Perrin inlet hose, I noticed a dent in the tube on the stock intake box (#17701), and instead of getting it replaced for $90 I figure why not just get the Perrin cold air intake (the regular one, not the 3" big MAF) for $280. I don't mind spending the money, and I already have the Perrin inlet hose anyway. But I want to ensure I don't have any loss. I know a lot of people saying "don't use CAI, its pointless, it sucks for daily - only good for track, stock box with dropin is better, CAI too restrictive, etc" - but if apparently if you tune it with the proper MAF scaling it can come out on top? That's what I would like to do. Plus it cleans the engine bay up a lot by removing the air resonator, snorkel, and probably also drops a couple grams of weight. So I gotta learn how to do MAF scaling, or else I gotta get a custom tune.

I run the Stage 2 93 Octane EL map with an Injen (1st Gen) intake. Fuel trims are great, AFR is great (maybe a bit fat, but I think the tune is conservative). I've modified the setup a little for better intake temps, and I am very happy with this. The 93 tune is solid, if you can find 93 in your area.
