The 4C (yes, I share some stuff with a Dart ) is nuts though and does sound like a Group-B WRC rally car.
I've heard a new Honda Civic with one of these burble tunes with what I believe to be the stock exhaust, and it was cute to hear.

Luckily I can control the pops & bangs on the 4C, so I can be as "quiet" or annoying as I want to.

My catless UEL FR-S had a popcorn/burble OFT tune for about 36 hours -- I removed it because it actually did sound lame and affected the drivability.

Same I was in the first group to make edits to their OFT tunes to have the crackles and pops. It wasn't even worth it and got old fast and I went back to normal e85 stage 2 within a day.

I see these newbies in the tuning part of the forum asking how to do it all the time, not even realizing that when you do it on an exhaust that is not catless or doesn't have a muffler delete your slowly but surely killing the muffler packings.

I figured it can't be good for mufflers.

I didn't think my catless single exit could get any more obnoxious to onlookers, I found a way with the pop tune.... I also ran it for onlyl a short time, a week or 2 here or there but it was fun when I had it.

My fear is the next trend will be just speakers and you can pick your car to sound like anything. Can’t wait for that crappy civic to sound like a 488 pista.

All this fake digital crap really bothers me. Maybe it’s because I grew up on muscle cars and big V8s that sounded great.

I have no problem with tuning the Exhaust sound With actual exhaust parts.

Main reason I won’t get a Tesla is sound. I have driven a few and they are wonderful, but I need sound, but real sound.

My wife hates the new electric cars as they just creep up on you.. very dangerous I'm sure. At the other extreme we have nice cars with really stupid sounds, I'm sure generated through poor choice of aftermarket products or tuning.. there are M2s, and Lambos in my neighborhood that sound like riced up Honda Civic Si etc.

that doesn't bother me because they could never turn it up loud enough to be as annoying as pop tunes are. i can hear pop tunes 5 blocks away from the main road. i've never heard a sound system travel that far, and there's plenty of locals pushing 5,000 watts...

Burble or rumble sounds so nice, pops, bangs, braaps and flames, now that sounds different.
My old diesel with no mods got everyone in the area upset.
We well know the "can't go fast so go loud" group. Also the ones that want to share their personal favorite music.

Ok, I lost my train of thought.

But of course I would love to shoot flames too. As long as it's a byproduct and not the goal.
