Carbon Fiber fitment

Looking for recommendations on how to improve fitment. I know aftermarket parts will have not great fitment but it would be nice to fix it so it doesn’t come less than 1mm from my quarter panel and hit both taillights... let me know if you guys have any solutions

Is this a CF trunk? I don't have any advice to offer, just want to clarify what part is being discussed.

Can't think of anything beyond not tightening the bolts that secure it to the hinge and wiggling the trunk until you get optimal fitment. Then, tighten them down

Ah dang okay, I’ve tried that, I’ll try it again but it didn’t help my situation when I tried it

That's pretty much the best you can do to get the fit right, unless its something you can trim. You can also use spacers to help keep the sides aligned. Some type of plastic or the like that is the right thickness.

I haven't looked but can you tighten the bolts when closed?

Where is the appropriate space to put spacers? On the hinges/bracket between the trunk didn't do anything really

I was really thinking in the gaps on each side between the trunk and the fenders to keep it even, then it occurred to me that won't help if you have to open the trunk to tighten the bolts.
