2018 7" Infotainment Play USB Folders

So, on my last trip, this drove me absolutely crazy. I have a USB drive with albums in separate folders. There is no way to select folders on this infotainment system as on other systems, so I couldn't play albums. And there was no tab to select playlists. I looked in the manual and nothing on this appeared. But there is a solution. I heard that on some systems, playlists might be available. So I downloaded the Music Playlist Creator from the Microsoft store on Windows 10, plugged in my USB drive, and created a playlist in each of the folders. I did not make a playlist in the root folder. Voila, there was a new tab that showed up called "Playlist" and it listed all of the playlists in the system, which in my case were all of the albums. Touch "Playlists", touch the first song, and off you go. I don't know if this will work on other Starlink systems, but it worked like a charm on mine. "Folders" are no longer necessary for it to work.

Also, the new unit sounded tinny to my ears, so I went into the equalizer and set it to Bass +4, Middle +2, and Treble -1, and it sounded much better. In fact, since I don't play hip-hop and need to start an earthquake with my radio, the bass was actually OK. Not super, but better than I expected from a stock setup.
