Get the mtec springs man. Much much better feel. Not like buttery smooth but 100x better than without it. Worth the $40 for sure. Noticeably quicker shifting. I also had a cat less mispipe and a few trans mounts installed same time but yeah the shifting feels hella better. I'd go for it.

I feel like mine significantly loosened up. I've retightened it twice now. It always feels good for the first drive then slowly loosens. I havent tried locktite or anything yet, but i think i am headed that way.

When you say loose are you talking about when it's in a gear and still can be moved around?

Mine seems to be loosening up a little bit too, in a good way. I just wish it was a little less notchy. I will have to get some of those springs @Jake_86 and see if it helps.

So I've been driving with mine for around 5k miles.
Question to you guys. My shifter seems to have a bit of slack when in gear. It won't move up or down, but will wiggle to the left and right. Is this normal? I've tightened it but that still happens.

Is the slack gradual, or is it apparent even after you tighten the bolt?

I have the same wiggle-room while in gear. When you tighten it all the shifts feel really stiff and notchy, but I kind of like that - I dont like the wiggle.

Eventually as time goes on that wiggle comes back after you tighten.

Unfortunately I think it's a fact of life that the shifter will get lose after awhile...

Idk how long it takes before your wiggle returns but it's been slightly over a week and mines still tight as a virgin

mine has this same wiggle.. its quite frustrating for a TRD part i dont like it.. if its the nature of the beast fine i accept it. but scares me that something else will loosen up and fly out on a hard shift. anyone tried it with locktite? any results?

I've had my TRD quick shifter installed for a few months now (maybe about 6 or so?) and it's still notchy and tight with no wiggle. I did have the dealer install it though, so if this becomes an issue I can always complain to them and see what they say.

Get the MTEC springs. You'll like it I swear.
