Ok I've checked out some videos on the difference of the twins!!
Now the frustration comes to with one to choose! BRZ Limited which has a lot more options than the FRS $27k Or the FRS w/out those options for the same price but the FRS has the more aggressive looking front end!!! Errrr! I'm torn! |

Re: New here? Come say hi =)
Finally got my account activated, and took a few pics to post in the forums.
Just got this guy the day after Christmas, and it is my first self-purchased and insured car. I couldn't be happier with my decision! This is my first manual transmission car, and coming from years of computer driving and racing simulations (iRacing), I am so happy my car is finally manual! Freedom at last. More pics are in the Whiteout FR-S gallery thread. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=1462 I will post a bit more in the Southwest/AZ FR-S thread. |

Hi
I'm picking my black 86 up today, in about 3.5 hours. I don't usually post too much on forums, I prefer to watch :P |

1) Its totally up to you, if you want a better interior go with Subaru Limited. If you don't really care for it then might as well go with Scion and save a couple bucks. I went with Scion for the color, been in love with Hot Lava since I first saw it on the street. Plus the front end fangs are better looking in my opinion. 2) I'd say stick. This was my first stick shift car and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. All my family was against it due to the crazy LA traffic but honestly I don't mind it at all. 3) Well I'm young so my insurance premium is fairly high. All I will tell you is it went down after I got the car. Honda Civic was my car before that. 4) Well suspension is set up a little bit more diffident. Subaru has a more of a firm rally like suspension, Scion has a playful suspension allowing your car to slide whenever you want to more easily. Plus, the front end is slightly different. 5) Depends on how you drive it. It varies anywhere from 20-45 (yeah idk how people manage to get 45 but I saw it) 6) Depends in what you want to do with the car. If you just want to keep it to the minimum and just DD it, I'd say just a minor suspension upgrade like sway bars, springs or coils if you really want them but not really needed as far as DD goes. Tires also do come in handy. If you want to play with it a little bit more and give it some power I'd personally go with a supercharger for a city. You will rarely reach speed high enough for a turbo to kick in/be useful. However that's just my two cents. hope that helped!

I'm a proud new owner of a '13 Argento FR-S; got a great deal on it while visiting home (LA) and I plan on finding a decent garage space for it in SF. This marks my return to a more basic, but fun car!
Over the years I went from an '08 Civic Si (FA5) to '07 350Z Roadster to '12 C350 Coupe. The last two cars were powerful V6's AT, so it's refreshing to be back in a high-revving 4-cylinder where I can row through 6 gears. Stoked that the community here seems knowledgeable and welcoming - reminds me a lot of the Honda community (for the 8th gen at least). |

......leicaboss ....... to fun driving!
Yep, a good group of guys & gals here. If you have questions about your new machine ..... here is a search hint ... use "google" and preface your search criteria with "site:ft86club.com" (sans quotes). It helps cut through the chatter. Or, if you still are not getting what you are looking for, just make a post and we will try to answer your question(s). humfrz |

Thanks all!
Also, great tip - hopefully I'll be able to learn a lot more about the FR-S. The only irritating thing about this car is that there are so many names for it worldwide... but the fact that it's effectively the same thing everywhere... that's golden |
