What mods next? Exhaust? Intake?
So I got coilovers, wheels, and tires. What should I do next?
I was thinking about an exhaust setup. Thing is I have no clue what i want. I want something to improve power, reduce weight, and I think sound is the most important part. I want something louder but not something that sounds like a fart can or something that will make me deaf. Eventually I might get some forced induction going but that's way down the road right now. Also I was curious about this unichip: http://ft86speedfactory.com/unichip-tune-1083.html If I buy an exhaust setup/package should I get one of these as well. I'm not too familiar with them but I know the car will need a tune once exhaust and intake mods are put on. This will be the first time I ever put any exhaust mods on a car I've owned so I'm trying to get some help and educate myself a bit. Thanks. |

Skip the intake. Imo your next mod should be a tune. Then headers, then a catback

agree on tune, headers, and catback. If you can do all quickly then install headers and catback first to save a retune. If you get a tune try to find a local tuner that can tune off a dyno.

Recommend some headers and catback. I'm not too familiar with them. What should I know about them?

For headers I see three options:
Revworks UEL Header (best bang for your buck) FA20Club.com EL Header (great power) P&L EL Header Quality with power I would put JDL, but there so backed up, you would be waiting for a long time Catback thats going to be subjective. I like my Perrin resonated catback But trust me, if I could do it again, skip the intake. Get a tune, then a header, and then finally catback. By far the best bang fotr buck bolt ons. Plus it will eliminate the torque dip. |

Check into a few myself and I like the FT-86 SpeedFactory V1 Exhaust and the Borla UEL Header. Thoughts?
*edit* catless.... I could run it if I want. Cops don't care around here. Sounds pretty loud though. Last edited by Ludacrits; 08-28-2013 at 01:05 AM. |

I don't recommend the Borla Header. To many people have had issues. Newer batches are suppose to fix this. I would recommend revworks over Borla.

I'd go for p&l headers instead of fa20club. Unless you extremely patient with 3-4 month waiting time.
I bet you it's the same sh Quote:
