The maintenance manual says 7500 miles or 7.5 months whichever comes first. I had mine done at 7.5 months and 4200 miles. Dealer didn't want to do it until 7500 miles so I called Scion who then called the dealer and set them straight.

The dealer can claim those services back from scion regardless of mileage. You could do all three on back to back days if you wanted.

Any dealership that tells you that they can't provide you with the 7500 mile service interval maintenance due to time or mileage limitations is flat out wrong. The only limitation is that you get your 22,500 mile service done before 23,000 (or 2 years).

If your dealer still refuses, call Scion's customer service number and put your writer on the phone with them. Your ASM is not doing his or her job.

I suggested to a service manager that they give me the oil and filter so I could do it myself, when I asked to have the 7500 mile service performed at 3000 wasn't too bad of a request.

I got my first oil change this weekend, 4800km. I didn't have to ask for this to be the free one or anything.... I just went in, gave them my phone number, and it was all taken care of.

I had the dealer do mine, they didn't even question me using my scionboost.

I just told my dealership that my fuel economy was dropping and the engine was getting louder and told them to change it. No was not acceptable and they changed it.

I'm happy that my dealer (Toyota Carlsbad) will let me do any of the complimentary services any time I want. They told me that if I wanted, I could literally use all my services one day after the next. But once they're gone, you pay of course!

Wtf really??? Are you using your scion service boost?? You should be able to change it whenever you want and if you are using the service boost you are allotted so many complimentary oil changes.

My guess would be that the service writer just didn't want to deal with it dealerships them selves don't really make money off of prepaid maintenance ie service boost or Toyota care. This is just something to get people in the door the money is made by up selling brakes, tires, shocks etc...
