How to make the body kit sit flush against the body?

As the title says. Don't really like the fact that body kits seem like pieces of plastic attached to the car,was thinking maybe vinyl wrap. Though not completely hiding the lines it could help. Any ideas? Trying to get the TRD kit btw.

Well a permanent way would be to use car body filler and blend it into the car.

No.

Unless you "mold" it using filler and fiberglass a lip will look like a lip. Vinyl will conform to all the lines of the car.

If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. I see lots of ducks.

I don't exactly know what you want to know or trying to do.

If your not satisfied how the kit mates with the body panels you could take it to a body shop and have them shave the edges it a bit to make it flush.

If your not satisfied with how the panels line up with each other, again take it to a body shop guy, and more than likely he will shave off the edges and ad a filler to each end to make it line up and fill the gaps.

Have to use body filler...anything else would look terrible.

This is why I don't like body kits.

It looks pretty decent on some kits where it's almost MADE to look added on (like the Rocket Bunny kit). On kits that are supposed to enhance the stock lines and look more "factory", however, it does always look tacked on unless you go the long and expensive route of having it molded in with body filler

The only problem with that rubber (depending on the color, usually is black) is that it makes it even more visible that there is an add-on to the bumper.

Black rubber on Super White

Here the rubber is light gray on Blizzard Pearl

Same kit on Nautica Blue

I don't know about you guys, but in my opinion, body kits and lip kits are two different things.
