How far down has this been tested? Curious about using it in winters that go well below freezing.

A buddy caps the hoses to his oil cooler during winter because it wouldn't warm up daily driving it to work and back. Pain in the butt.

This would be more like the Forester oil cooler in the sense that the coolant would warm the oil up faster.

Installed mine Sat... Biggest take away : Wow is the stock airbox/cooler line fitment tight !

With the intake out it's deceiving how much room you have, so I ran the lines in a way to minimize the kinking, which meant the lower line ran toward the passenger line was angled over toward the passenger side before heading down. Well that step "reinstall your intake system" turned out to be more problematic than I had expected.

Had to move the sandwich plate outlets as far toward the oil filler cap as possible and the lines had to run straight down in order to be able to get the stock airbox back in. In my situation, I could not figure out any way to make the lower oil line not kink. I ended up removing about 4" of length from it and now it fits very well... The upper line seems like it would have worked better if it were slightly shorter as well, but I got it to work...

Question - when changing oil, I'm assuming the ~1/2 quart in the lines and cooler will not drain - any way easy way to flush that out for a more complete change?

Jim

P.S. Thanks to all the members here - Just got the BRZ in early July, I've gotten a lot of good info from this site...

Anyone running these with a Grimmspeed or RacerX intake? I have the RacerX but it's very similar to the Grimmspeed, not a lot of room in front of where the sandwich adapter sits.

It's a tight fit even with the Harrop SC. Tried to clock the oil line elements to minimize kinking of the lines despite the extra room afforded by the more streamlined rear half to the airbox supplied with the kit.

No response back on whether JR will actually supply a fitting 1.4 bar radiator cap yet. I'm glad a friend in Japan shipped me an STi 1.3 Bar cap.

You might have contact with that HKS system since it uses the stock airbox... actually, I'd wager the lines will contact and melt the stock box despite it being a great heat management system for both oil and coolant.

In that case, @CSG Mike @Jackson Racing , have the oil line elements ever been test fitted with stock factory airbox? This question should confirm fitment with the HKS supercharger.

It 100% works with the stock airbox.
@Trefoil: e-mail or call @Jackson Racing and they will get you the proper cap.

I can confirm that there is a 1.4bar radiator cap included with the combo. At least the one I just ordered from CSG does anyways.

An update: after CSG mentioned talking to Jackson Racing, Jackson Racing immediately fixed the issue. All smiles from here!

The fittings stick out about 3" total, but they are at nearly a 45 deg angle, so about 2 1/8" forward of the filter. Think that's the best you can do -- I even filed down the bump on the oil filler cap to allow me to screw it in with the lines rotated over that last tiny bit toward the drivers side...

I can confirm that while it is a semi-tight fit, the Grimmspeed intake will also fit.

I am also interested in seeing what threshold this has in a NA track setup, preferably in a climate similar to humid Texas summers. I suppose if nothing is posted for this in 6-7 months when temps are getting stupid again, I'll post them up but I can also guarantee my skills will most likely not be pushing it either. Maybe I'll just drive on the street in 2nd gear between 5-7k to simulate a faster person

The @Jackson Racing T4 car uses this setup, and won it's class nationally.
